“He’s very aggressive, he’s very strong, he’s quick, he’s athletic. He’s got all of the really good characteristics for a Premier League centre-back, and I think he’s had a very, very good start to his Wolves career.
“However, this was clearly his poorest performance in a Wolves shirt. Ironically, when you take out some of the individual mistakes, some of the performance around that, he wasn’t horrendous but he certainly wasn’t anywhere near his best. I know there were question marks over refereeing decisions, but unfortunately, it was a bit too rash. He only missed Jota because it was such a rash challenge. It was so rash he missed the player altogether.”
Keen’s assessment highlights how Agbadou’s decision-making and execution were not up to his usual standards. While his aggressive style has been a key part of his game, against elite opposition like Liverpool, he needs to refine his approach to avoid unnecessary risks.
Injury Concerns Ahead of Bournemouth Clash
Adding to Wolves’ woes, Agbadou was forced off the pitch in the 61st minute due to an apparent injury. While the severity of the issue remains unclear, early reports suggest he is unlikely to feature in Wolves’ upcoming clash against AFC Bournemouth.
This presents a selection dilemma for Pereira, who will need to reshuffle his defensive setup.
