The four players pooled together £9,357 to reimburse the loyal fans who witnessed the loss in sub-zero temperatures.

​In a joint statement, the players expressed their deep gratitude, labeling the traveling faithful as the “best fans in the world” and acknowledging the significant financial and physical sacrifices made to follow the team abroad. They noted that covering the expenses was a small token of thanks after such a challenging evening in the freezing cold.
