BREAKING NEWS: Kjetil Knutsen is keen on becoming the new Celtic manager, but has one request

November 7, 2025

67 Hail Hail has learned that Kjetil Knutsen is eager to take on the role as the new Celtic manager, but with one important condition.

The Celtic supporters are rallying behind Knutsen as their preferred choice for the managerial position, with the Norwegian emerging as a top contender for the job.

At just 47 years old, Knutsen has garnered attention from clubs across Europe for his remarkable success in transforming Bodo/Glimt from a modest team to one of the most dynamic sides in Europe.

His contract with Bodo/Glimt is set to expire in 2025, presenting an opportunity for Celtic to potentially lure him away from his successful seven-year stint in the Arctic Circle to Celtic Park.

However, Knutsen is keen on finishing Bodo/Glimt’s Champions League campaign before considering a move to Celtic. The team has reached the main phase of the prestigious tournament for the first time in their history, and Knutsen is determined to see it through.

The league phase is scheduled to run until the end of January, with the possibility of Bodo/Glimt advancing to the play-offs and extending their campaign further.

While 67 Hail Hail previously reported that Martin O’Neill could remain as manager until the end of the season, there is still interest from Kieran McKenna despite the potential hurdle of having to pay compensation.
