Nuno Espírito Santo admitted that his side’s job is far from finished despite West Ham United securing an impressive 1–1 draw against Manchester City at the London Stadium on Saturday.
The result provided a crucial point for West Ham in the ongoing relegation battle and temporarily lifted the club out of the bottom three of the Premier League table. However, the Portuguese manager remained cautious, insisting that positions at the lower end of the table can change rapidly as the season approaches its decisive stage.
Speaking after the match, Nuno emphasized that although the result was positive, it carries little meaning unless his team continues to collect points in the coming fixtures.
“It doesn’t mean much,” he explained. “It means that we are achieving points game after game, which is important, but the table can change at any moment. What we did was a good job, so let’s rest and move to the next one.”
Leeds Facing Growing Pressure
The draw also had implications for Leeds United, who sit just two points above the relegation zone. Leeds are preparing for a crucial clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, needing a response after suffering back-to-back league defeats.
While Leeds still have a small cushion over the teams below them, the tightening table means any further slip-ups could quickly drag them into the relegation zone.
Tottenham’s Struggles Continue
